About the Role

Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Lecturer I in Railway Engineering to join our esteemed School of Engineering. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality academic instruction, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the dynamic growth of our engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical training in Railway Engineering for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Supervise student research projects, industrial attachments, and academic dissertations.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, course evaluation, and departmental academic planning.
  • Engage in cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and present papers at academic conferences.
  • Participate in departmental, school, and college-wide committee meetings and community service initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Railway Engineering or a relevant discipline, with at least 3 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience, plus required publications.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 6 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience, plus required publications.
  • Serving Lecturer II candidates with at least 3 years of satisfactory service and the requisite publication metrics are also encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated track record of conference papers, journal articles, and textbook chapter contributions published within the last 4 years.
