The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal tertiary institution founded in 1970, is seeking a dedicated and academically rigorous Lecturer I to join our esteemed Department of Law. In this role, you will shape the minds of future legal professionals, contribute to groundbreaking legal scholarship, and uphold the university's tradition of academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Public Law courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed academic research in Public Law and contribute to institutional publications.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee meetings.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to support their professional and personal development.
- Must possess a First Degree in Law with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
- Hold a PhD or a Master Degree in Law with at least three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated expertise in Public Law and related legal disciplines.
