We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer I to join the Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology within the Faculty of Life Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Plant Biology and Biotechnology.
- Design, update, and develop curriculum content that aligns with modern academic and industry standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the advancement of botanical and biotechnological sciences.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings as well as academic accreditation exercises.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Plant Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- A first degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division with a completed PhD.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern research methodologies, laboratory techniques, and academic publishing.
