Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Plant Biology and Biotechnology.
  • Design, update, and develop curriculum content that aligns with modern academic and industry standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
  • Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the advancement of botanical and biotechnological sciences.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings as well as academic accreditation exercises.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Plant Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
  • A first degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division with a completed PhD.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern research methodologies, laboratory techniques, and academic publishing.
