Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical clinical training in Ophthalmology to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Supervise student research projects, clinical rotations, and dissertations within the Department of Ophthalmology.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committees as assigned.
- Provide clinical services and patient care within the university teaching hospital framework.
- Mentor students and contribute to community outreach and healthcare advancement initiatives.
- Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in a relevant medical or ophthalmological field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of active tertiary-level teaching experience.
- At least three (3) peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
- A first degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
- Demonstrated expertise in ophthalmology with valid professional licensing where applicable.
