About the Role
Yaba College of Technology, Nigeria's premier higher institution, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to fill the position of Lecturer I within the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics under the School of Technology. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Lecturer I, you will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive lectures, practical training, and assessments for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Your duties will include:
- Delivering engaging lectures and conducting laboratory or practical sessions in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Mentoring and supervising students in academic research, projects, and industrial training placements.
- Developing curriculum materials and contributing to departmental program evaluations.
- Conducting impactful academic and applied research in nutrition, public health, and dietetics.
- Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting papers at academic conferences.
- Participating in departmental administration, community service, and college committees.
Candidates must meet one of the following academic and publication requirements:
- A Doctorate degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a relevant discipline, with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience.
- A Master's degree in the relevant discipline, with at least six (6) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience.
- A serving Lecturer II with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service in the position.
- All candidates must possess the mandatory publication requirements, including at least three (3) conference or seminar papers, three (3) journal articles, and at least one (1) chapter contribution in a standard textbook published within the last four (4) years.
