Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Microbiology.
- Design, update, and develop academic curricula in alignment with NUC guidelines and industry standards.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and actively seek grant funding.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students to foster holistic development.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives on behalf of the university.
- Must hold a PhD in Microbiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated track record of teaching excellence at the tertiary education level.
- A robust portfolio of academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
