About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer I to join our esteemed Department of Mechatronics Engineering. In this academic role, you will contribute to the growth and development of our engineering programs through rigorous teaching, groundbreaking research, and student mentorship at a premier Nigerian federal university.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Mechatronics Engineering and related disciplines.
- Supervise student research projects, laboratory sessions, and academic dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster professional and personal growth.
- Possession of a First Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division. Candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division must hold a PhD.
- Must possess a PhD or a Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least three (3) years of relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in reputable journals.
