We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated academic professional to join our Department of Mechanical Engineering as a Lecturer I. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering engaging lectures, conducting impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Mechanical Engineering.
- Develop and update course curricula in line with NUC guidelines and industry standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's academic profile.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, contributing to institutional growth and accreditation processes.
- Provide academic advising, career mentorship, and pastoral support to students.
- Engage in community service and foster industry partnerships that enhance the practical application of mechanical engineering.
- Must hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated record of academic research and publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven teaching experience at the university level with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as COREN and NSE is an added advantage.
