Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and up-to-date lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Information Technology courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Design and review course curricula in line with global best practices and industry standards.
  • Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students' projects, theses, and dissertations.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic committees, and curriculum development initiatives.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their intellectual and professional growth.
  • Contribute to community outreach, consultancy, and knowledge transfer initiatives that align with the university's mission.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the field of Information Technology.
  • Support the university's accreditation processes and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications
  • A PhD in Information Technology or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post-PhD experience in teaching, research, and academic engagement.
  • A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Evidence of completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or a valid Certificate of Exemption/Exclusion, where applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong commitment to academic integrity, innovation, and student development.
