Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Human Kinetics and Sports Science to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Develop, update, and review curricula in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and modern pedagogical practices.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
  • Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Engage in community service initiatives and professional outreach programs related to sports development and public health.
  • Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster both intellectual and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Human Kinetics, Sports Science, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of tertiary-level teaching and research experience.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Must possess a First Degree with a minimum of a Second Class Upper Division, OR a Second Class Lower Division coupled with a PhD.
  • Demonstrated ability to use modern educational technology and learning management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
