Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Geography and Regional Planning.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable local and international journals.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Mentor students and provide academic guidance to support their holistic development.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and review in alignment with NUC standards and global best practices.
Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Geography, Regional Planning, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
  • For candidates with a Master's degree, a minimum of three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience and at least three (3) peer-reviewed publications are required.
  • A mandatory First Degree (Bachelor's) with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division coupled with a Ph.D.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract research grants and collaborate on academic projects is an added advantage.
