We are currently seeking a dynamic, qualified, and passionate academic professional to join our Department of Geography as a Lecturer I. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering engaging undergraduate and postgraduate instruction, mentoring students, and advancing geographical research within a vibrant and faith-based academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Geography to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and innovative teaching methods aligned with institutional standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldwork.
- Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and publish scholarly articles in reputable local and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor students academically, professionally, and morally in line with the core values of Maranatha University.
- Candidate must possess a Ph.D. Degree in Geography or a closely related field from a reputable recognized university.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong scholarly publications in peer-reviewed academic journals.
