We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated academic professional to join our Faculty of Social and Management Sciences as a Lecturer I in Film and Multimedia.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical training in film, multimedia production, and related subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop, update, and improve curriculum content to align with global industry standards and digital media trends.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, dissertations, and creative portfolios.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and pastoral guidance to students in alignment with the university's core values.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee works, curriculum development, and university-wide accreditation exercises.
- Engage in community service and industry partnerships that enhance the profile of the department and university.
- Must possess a PhD in Film, Multimedia, Mass Communication, or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of cognate university teaching, research, and student supervision experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing academic research and relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern digital teaching and learning environments.
