As a Lecturer I in English, you will play a pivotal role in teaching, mentoring, and advancing the academic profile of the university. Your core duties will include:

• Delivering engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and tutorials in various areas of English Language and Literature.
• Designing, updating, and developing comprehensive curriculum materials and course outlines.
• Supervising undergraduate research projects, essays, and academic dissertations.
• Conducting high-level academic research and publishing scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Participating actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and academic events.
• Mentoring students academically and providing moral guidance in alignment with the university core values.
• Assisting with departmental accreditation exercises and administrative tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

To be considered for the Lecturer I - English position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Possession of a Ph.D. degree in English Language, Literature in English, or a closely related field from a reputable and accredited university.
• A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the tertiary education level.
• Demonstrated evidence of relevant scholarly publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
• Strong commitment to academic excellence, innovative pedagogy, and Christian faith-based values.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and student-mentorship skills.
• Membership in relevant professional academic bodies will be an added advantage.
