About the Role
Owolabi University is a dynamic, newly established private university located in Osun State, Nigeria, licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC). As part of our rapid academic expansion within the Faculty of Management and Social Science, we are currently seeking a passionate, qualified, and research-driven professional to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in Economics.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in various core areas of Economics.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses.
- Develop innovative curriculum materials, lecture notes, and modern assessment tools for economics courses.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to ensure their holistic development.
- Must possess a PhD degree in Economics or a closely related field from a reputable, accredited university.
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a recognized university system.
- Evidence of a minimum of eight (8) quality scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.
