About the Role
Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria, a premier private conventional institution established in 2005, is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and scholarly individual to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in the Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in various courses related to Geology within the Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldworks.
- Conduct high-impact academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university-wide committees.
- Mentor students academically and morally in alignment with the institutional motto of Learning for Wisdom and Morality.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives as assigned by the University Management.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Geology or a closely related field from a reputable and recognized university.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in high-impact, reputable academic journals.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies and associations is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills suitable for a diverse student body.
