Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and qualified academics to apply for the position of Lecturer I in the Department of Criminology and Security Studies. As a Lecturer I, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging lectures, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contributing to the vibrant intellectual community of our Nasarawa State campus.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Criminology and Security Studies.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses at various academic levels.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable national and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee meetings.
- Engage in community service initiatives and professional outreach programs relevant to security studies.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Criminology, Security Studies, or a closely related field from a recognized institution, plus a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience and 2 journal publications.
- Alternatively, a Ph.D. with relevant professional registration and 2 published journal articles will be considered.
- Candidates with a Master's degree must have at least 6 years of university teaching experience and 5 journal articles, with a minimum of 3 already published.
