Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality criminal law instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Develop and review curriculum content in criminal law and related disciplines
  • Conduct original research and publish in peer-reviewed academic journals
  • Supervise student research projects and thesis work
  • Participate in moot court, law clinic, and clinical legal education programmes
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to faculty development initiatives
  • Engage in community legal outreach and professional service activities

Qualifications
  • PhD in Law, or LL.M with substantial demonstrated progress toward PhD completion
  • Active membership of the Nigerian Bar Association
  • Evidence of scholarly publications and proven teaching potential
  • Preference given to candidates with: internationally indexed publications; research grants or funded projects; professional certifications; curriculum development experience; moot court and clinical legal education programme experience; membership in recognized professional bodies; and technology-enabled legal scholarship
