We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our Department of Computing as a Lecturer I in Computer Science. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality education, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contributing to cutting-edge research within the tech faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science courses.
  • Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses at various levels.
  • Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career pathways, and professional development.
  • Contribute to community service initiatives and technological innovations promoted by the university.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of active teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution.
  • At least three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in recognized journals.
  • A stellar academic foundation, including a First Degree not below a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a completed Ph.D.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern computing technologies, programming languages, and pedagogical methods.
