We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our Department of Computing as a Lecturer I in Computer Science. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality education, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contributing to cutting-edge research within the tech faculty.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science courses.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic theses at various levels.
- Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career pathways, and professional development.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and technological innovations promoted by the university.
- Possession of a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of three (3) years of active teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution.
- At least three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications in recognized journals.
- A stellar academic foundation, including a First Degree not below a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a completed Ph.D.
