About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and academically accomplished professional to join our vibrant faculty as a Lecturer I in the Department of Biochemistry. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the minds of future scientists, driving innovative research, and contributing to the holistic development of our students within a faith-based academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, comprehensive, and up-to-date lectures and practical sessions in Biochemistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, laboratory activities, and academic dissertations.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in biochemistry and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Actively participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, academic administration, and community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to foster their personal and professional growth.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry or a closely related field from a recognized and reputable university.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Strong portfolio of evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed and indexed academic journals.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire students and foster a collaborative, inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
