We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Pharmacy as a Lecturer Grade II in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutical Chemistry to undergraduate pharmacy students.
  • Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) and pharmacy regulatory standards.
  • Conduct high-quality academic research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's research output.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and laboratory practicals.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to support their holistic development.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide events and community service initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Possess a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Demonstrate a strong background in teaching, research, and academic administration within a tertiary institution.
  • Show evidence of relevant academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to inspire students.
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies, such as the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), is an added advantage.
