About the Role
OPay Digital Services Limited is seeking a proactive and experienced Learning & Development Officer (Sales Trainer) to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in equipping our sales agents with the essential communication skills, advanced sales techniques, and product knowledge required to excel in Nigeria's fast-paced fintech industry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive New Hire Training covering sales processes, standard operating procedures, product knowledge, and code of conduct.
- Deliver targeted Refresher Training sessions to reinforce best practices and address performance gaps among sales agents.
- Train agents on modern sales techniques, including effective prospecting, compelling pitching, and objection handling.
- Facilitate training on approved call scripts, professional customer communication, and optimal call-handling abilities.
- Administer post-training tests, practical role-plays, and evaluations to measure knowledge retention and application.
- Develop, update, and maintain engaging training materials, assessment questions, and standardized scripts.
- Maintain accurate training records and submit detailed weekly and monthly progress reports to management.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in sales training, coaching, corporate learning, or business development.
- Demonstrated success in training, mentoring, and coaching sales agents within a structured corporate environment.
- Exceptional verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in local languages such as Yoruba or Hausa is a strong added advantage.
