About the Role
Geoplex Drillteq Limited is the fastest-growing indigenous oilfield service company in Nigeria, delivering top-tier wireline and drilling technology solutions to the upstream oil and gas sector. We are currently looking for an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator to spearhead our capacity-building initiatives, ensuring our workforce meets the highest standards of safety, technical competency, and industry compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the annual Learning and Development plan, training calendar, and comprehensive training needs analysis.
- Identify critical competency and skills gaps in close collaboration with department heads and line managers.
- Maintain accurate employee training records, competency matrices, certification trackers, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate mandatory industry certifications including HSE, OPITO, IADC, IWCF, NEBOSH, IOSH, and STCW requirements.
- Facilitate technical competency development across drilling, well services, wireline, engineering, marine, and project operations.
- Support individual development plans, on-the-job training, career development, and internal succession planning.
- Manage L&D budgeting, vendor relations, procurement, and cost-tracking activities efficiently.
- B.Sc. in Human Resources, Education, Management, Engineering, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Competency Management within industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating technical, non-technical, and HSE training programmes within the Oil and Gas or energy industry.
- Proficiency in managing complex training, certification, and competency records.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, or ATD will be considered a strong advantage.
