About the Role

NexPro Energy is a dynamic, fully integrated independent exploration and production company with a rapidly expanding upstream portfolio in Nigeria. Our immediate strategic focus is an offshore marginal field currently preparing for first oil. We are assembling a top-tier technical team to drive production engineering and operations from initial startup through full-field development. If you are a seasoned reservoir engineer looking to make a substantial impact in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, we invite you to lead our reservoir engineering initiatives and shape the future of our offshore assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the reservoir engineering requirements for well data acquisition, including formation pressure points, fluid sampling, and well test design, while leading subsequent data interpretation.
  • Build and maintain robust reservoir performance models through the Extended Well Test (EWT) to mature reservoir understanding as new data emerges.
  • Manage the field's volumetric and resource basis, successfully maturing contingent resources to reserves as commerciality is established.
  • Take full ownership of production forecasting, ensuring the field economics and breakeven models remain continuously aligned.
  • Lead reservoir engineering inputs for the post-first-oil Field Development Plan (FDP) and oversee ongoing reservoir management and surveillance throughout the field lifecycle.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with demonstrable expertise in well test or EWT interpretation, or managing a first-oil startup.
  • Strong proficiency in resource and reserves classification under the SPE-PRMS framework, including commerciality tests.
  • Proven ability to integrate production forecasting with financial and economic modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills tailored for a fast-paced upstream environment.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary with attractive performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive medical and health insurance coverage for you and your dependents.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and career advancement in a growing E&P company.
  • A collaborative and high-performance work culture focused on innovation and operational excellence.
