About the Role
NexPro Energy is a dynamic, independent exploration and production company with a rapidly growing upstream portfolio in the oil and gas sector. As we prepare our offshore marginal field for first oil and full field development, we are seeking a strategic Lead Production Engineer to join our high-performing team in Lagos. In this critical role, you will shape our production engineering and operations capabilities from the ground up, ensuring seamless execution across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver first oil through the interim crude evacuation route during the Extended Well Test, managing contracting, mobilization, and operational readiness.
- Lead the permanent export solution from concept-select through FEED, execution, and start-up.
- Drive production engineering and surface-facilities inputs into the post-first-oil Field Development Plan.
- Build and oversee the production engineering and operations function as the field scales.
- Manage production economics, opex budgets, metering, allocation, and crude custody transfer.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of offshore production engineering and operations experience, including first-oil or early-production start-ups.
- Proven expertise in delivering interim evacuation or early production schemes, such as EPF delivery and marine offtake.
- Strong background in contract and contractor performance management.
- Comprehensive exposure to full field development, including facilities definition and FEED.
