About the Role
Nigerian Electricity Supply Corporation (Nigeria) Limited (NESCO) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Lead, Operations & Maintenance to join our power generation team in Kurra Falls, Plateau State. In this critical role, you will provide expert leadership in planning, coordinating, and delivering efficient, cost-effective power generation services while ensuring the optimal maintenance of our electrical and mechanical assets to support our corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the generation function to achieve high performance standards in the cost-effective and reliable generation of electricity.
- Formulate and implement Operations and Maintenance strategies to ensure continuity of power supply and compliance with technical standards.
- Develop comprehensive maintenance programs and work schedules for the Generation Department.
- Oversee project works, testing, and commissioning activities while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor regional and international power sector trends to recommend innovative adaptations for NESCO operations.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND with PGD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, plus a relevant Master's Degree.
- Full membership registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or equivalent professional bodies.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in power generation engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Prior experience in hydro power plant operations, maintenance, and refurbishment is a strong advantage.
