About the Role
Konga Online Shopping Limited is seeking a highly experienced, analytical, and detail-oriented Lead Internal Audit to lead our internal audit function, strengthen internal controls, identify and mitigate business risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in Nigeria. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing independent, objective insights to support operational efficiency, accountability, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop risk-based audit plans aligned with business objectives and evaluate internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Reconcile daily store cash and POS sales with bank deposits, investigate cash shortages, and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Monitor stock transfers, warehouse movements, and store inventory using Microsoft Dynamics 365, reconciling physical stock with system records.
- Conduct comprehensive financial, operational, compliance, and process audits while preparing detailed reports with corrective recommendations.
- Investigate suspected fraud, financial irregularities, and inventory losses, recommending measures to strengthen controls and prevent future occurrences.
- Supervise Internal Audit Executives, review audit working papers, assign tasks, and mentor team members to promote integrity and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN are highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-NYSC experience in audit, financial control, or risk management, preferably within retail, e-commerce, or multi-branch operations.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, statutory compliance, and proficiency in ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP.
