Embroidery Digitizing Limited is a dynamic technical and manufacturing enterprise in Nigeria, renowned for our commitment to precision and excellence across all production workflows. We are currently seeking an experienced, diligent, and meticulous Laundry & Washing Machine Operator to join our dedicated facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional operation of commercial and industrial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all garments, linens, and textiles are sorted, washed, treated, and finished to the highest possible quality standards while maintaining optimal equipment efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Load and operate commercial and automatic washing machines, extractors, and tumble dryers in strict accordance with fabric types, load capacities, and manufacturer instructions.
- Sort laundry accurately by color, fabric type, and degree of soil, and safely pre-treat stubborn stains using appropriate chemical agents before the main wash cycle.
- Measure and dispense the correct quantities of detergents, fabric softeners, bleaches, and stain removers to prevent fabric damage and guarantee optimal cleanliness.
- Inspect finished laundry thoroughly for any remaining stains, fabric damage, or residual dirt, and promptly re-wash items that fail to meet our strict quality standards.
- Oversee post-wash processing tasks including drying, folding, ironing, pressing, and the proper packaging of cleaned items for seamless delivery or collection.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance by keeping washing machines and work areas clean, clearing lint traps regularly, and reporting any mechanical faults immediately.
- Minimum of 1 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience working in a commercial laundry, hotel, dry-cleaning outfit, or industrial laundry service.
- Strong technical familiarity with various washing machine settings, including water temperature, cycle types, spin speeds, and safe handling of laundry chemicals.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a sharp eye for spotting stains, handling delicate fabrics, and interpreting garment care labels correctly.
- High level of integrity, reliability, trustworthiness, punctuality, and the proven ability to execute daily tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
