About the Role
Class Suites Hotels & Apartments, a premier modern-style hotel chain with strategic locations across Lagos near the Murtala Muhammed Airport and Abuja's vibrant Jabi metropolis, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring all hotel linens, towels, and guest garments are impeccably cleaned, pressed, and maintained to the highest hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron all hotel linens, towels, staff uniforms, and guest laundry efficiently.
- Inspect all laundered items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, and report defects to management immediately.
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, pressing equipment, and dry-cleaning machinery safely and correctly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals, reporting shortages promptly.
- Handle guest laundry requests with utmost professionalism, ensuring prompt turnaround and careful attention to delicate fabrics.
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent practical experience in a similar hospitality role.
- Proven working experience as a laundry attendant or in a commercial housekeeping environment is an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of different fabric types, stain removal techniques, and proper chemical handling.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy laundry baskets.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills to meet daily hotel operational deadlines.
