We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Lathe Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team and contribute to our high standards of production excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Install chucks, tools, bushings, and gears to thoroughly prepare the lathe for daily production tasks.
- Perform high-precision turning, facing, boring, threading, and drilling operations according to strict project specifications.
- Measure finished metal parts using calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges to verify exact dimensions against blueprints.
- Clean equipment, replace worn cutting tools, and perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Adhere strictly to shop safety regulations, wear required personal protective equipment, and promptly report any equipment malfunctions.
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or ITI certification in mechanical fields is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, engineering diagrams, and complex work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with solid basic math skills and familiarity with precision measuring tools.
- Two to six years of hands-on experience operating manual or CNC lathe machinery in an industrial environment.
