About the Role
Troop Pharmacy, one of Africa's leading pharmaceutical companies, is seeking a meticulous and driven Laboratory Technician to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will support our commitment to exceptional patient care and diagnostic excellence by maintaining high standards of laboratory operations across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, label, sort, and store biological or physical specimens such as blood, tissue, and water samples with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Operate specialized laboratory instruments, microscopes, and automated analyzers to conduct accurate routine experiments and diagnostic tests.
- Clean, sterilize, adjust, and calibrate laboratory tools and equipment regularly to ensure precise and reliable results.
- Record test findings accurately, log results into digital databases, and prepare detailed technical reports for review by senior specialists.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Valid practicing license or registration with the relevant professional body in Nigeria is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working in a clinical, pharmaceutical, or diagnostic laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent data management skills, and proficiency in using digital laboratory databases.
