About the Role
Christopher University, established through the vision of Translucent Management Services to bridge the gap between academia and industry, is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technologist II for our campus in Mowe, Ogun State. We are dedicated to providing high-level academic programs that meet the manpower needs of both the corporate world and the public sector, supported by modern laboratory facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and manage laboratory equipment, reagents, and materials for practical classes and research activities.
- Assist academic staff and students in conducting laboratory experiments, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and equipment, placing timely orders for replacements.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental standards within the laboratory environment to prevent accidents.
- Support ongoing institutional research projects and contribute to the overall development of the university's science programs.
- Possession of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
- Must hold professional certifications such as AIST, ANIST, FIELT, or equivalent recognized qualifications.
- Demonstrated relevant working experience in a similar laboratory setting, preferably within an educational institution.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety guidelines, equipment handling, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
