As part of our expanding academic and research infrastructure, we are currently seeking a skilled, proactive, and dedicated Laboratory Technologist to join our vibrant team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in facilitating practical learning, maintaining state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, and supporting cutting-edge scientific research within a faith-based academic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and manage laboratory equipment, reagents, and materials for practical sessions, examinations, and research activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within the laboratory environment.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory instruments to guarantee optimal functionality.
- Assist academic staff, researchers, and students in conducting experiments and utilizing advanced laboratory technologies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and equipment, and initiate procurement requests when necessary.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental results.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior laboratory staff and students during practical sessions.
- Possession of a good Honours degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Biomedical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Current professional registration with relevant regulatory bodies will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated practical experience in laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
