About the Role
Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support our impactful public health initiatives under our donor-funded programs. In this role, you will play a vital part in strengthening laboratory service delivery, ensuring quality control, and contributing to comprehensive healthcare outcomes for communities in need.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily laboratory service delivery activities at the designated facility level to ensure efficient operations.
- Support the implementation of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and rigorous quality control measures.
- Assist in tracking laboratory testing data, monitoring commodity needs, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Deliver against approved milestone plans and performance targets, integrating services across HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platforms.
- Support capacity-building activities and training sessions for local laboratory personnel to enhance service quality.
- A first degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- At least one (1) year of professional experience in laboratory services, preferably within donor-funded or NGO health projects.
- Sound knowledge of standard laboratory testing protocols, safety procedures, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
