About the Role
BeaconHealth Diagnostics is expanding our state-of-the-art medical laboratory services and seeking dedicated, passionate Lab Scientists to join our professional teams in Jos, Plateau State, and Calabar, Cross River State. In this role, you will perform complex medical laboratory tests, ensure stringent quality control standards, and provide accurate diagnostic insights that directly impact patient care and clinical outcomes across our expanding network.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests across hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and pathology departments.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced laboratory equipment and diagnostic instruments.
- Maintain rigorous quality assurance and quality control standards in compliance with national and international health regulations.
- Accurately analyze, record, and report test results to attending physicians and clinical staff within established turnaround times.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of all biological specimens to prevent contamination and ensure integrity.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, universal precautions, and waste management guidelines within the laboratory environment.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on clinical laboratory experience in a recognized hospital or diagnostic facility.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and general computer applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
