We are currently recruiting a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our client's dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth, hygienic, and efficient daily operations of the kitchen, assisting professional chefs with food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the head chef and kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Wash and properly store all dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, and kitchen equipment after use.
- Manage inventory by restocking supplies, organizing pantry items, and reporting shortages to the supervisor.
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly and ensure waste management protocols are strictly followed.
- Support kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure timely food service delivery.
- Candidates should possess a relevant qualification (SSCE, OND, or catering certificate).
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or hotel environment.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a diverse team.
- Flexibility to adapt to unique shift schedules.
