Tojum Hospitality, a premier hospitality management consultancy and recruitment firm, is partnering with Isaac Sam Lounge & Lodging Limited to recruit a passionate and skilled Kitchen Assistant in Ibadan, Oyo State. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with our professional culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations, exceptional food preparation standards, and a pristine working environment. Key Responsibilities- Assist the head chef and cooks with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage the proper storage of food supplies, ensuring inventory is rotated and checked for freshness regularly.
- Assist in plating dishes and ensuring timely service delivery during peak operational hours.
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly and adhere strictly to safety protocols regarding kitchen equipment and fire hazards.
- Support general kitchen duties and undertake any other tasks assigned by the head chef or kitchen management.
- Possession of relevant educational qualifications, culinary certifications, or formal training in food production is an added advantage.
- Proven previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, hotel, restaurant, or lounge environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and sanitation regulations in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
