About the Role
Kredete is a leading personal finance company dedicated to helping individuals across Africa achieve financial progress and inclusion. We are looking for a dedicated Key Individual and Compliance Officer to manage and oversee Gravv Capital's crypto-asset financial services, ensuring strict adherence to FSCA, FAIS, and FICA regulations. In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with senior management, product, engineering, and operations teams to maintain robust compliance standards while driving innovative financial solutions across the group.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the designated Key Individual, subject to FSCA approval, overseeing authorised crypto-asset financial services.
- Ensure all crypto-asset activities remain within the scope of the firm's FSCA licence and assess new products for licensing impact.
- Implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and the Risk Management and Compliance Programme (RMCP).
- Oversee compliance with FICA, AML/CFT, targeted financial sanctions, and the Travel Rule for crypto-asset service providers.
- Monitor regulatory developments, manage regulatory submissions, and support inspections and audits by the FSCA and FIC.
- Maintain Fit and Proper competence records, including qualifications, regulatory exams, and ongoing CPD requirements.
- Passed the FSCA RE1 Regulatory Examination for Key Individuals.
- Hold an FSCA-recognised qualification for the relevant financial product or product sub-category.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in financial services, fintech, crypto assets, compliance, AML, or regulatory affairs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the FAIS Act, FICA, AML/CFT, KYC/EDD, and the broader FSCA regulatory framework.
- Demonstrable knowledge of crypto assets and crypto-asset financial services.
- Must meet honesty, integrity, and good-standing requirements without any history of debarment.
