About the Role

SunFi Technology Limited is an innovative energy financial technology platform connecting individuals and businesses with accessible solar energy payment plans. We partner with qualified third-party installers to make clean energy adoption seamless, faster, and more reliable. We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-riented Junior Solar Solutions Engineer to join our growing technical team in Nigeria and play a vital role in our pre-installation engineering workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate customer profiles, energy goals, usage patterns, and load requirements to configure optimal solar PV, inverter, and battery storage systems.
  • Utilize approved sizing and recommendation platforms to design technically feasible, safe, and commercially viable solutions.
  • Coordinate site assessments with internal field teams and Associate Solar Installers (ASIs), reviewing reports, photographs, and electrical data.
  • Prepare comprehensive system specifications, bill of materials (BOM), balance of system (BOS) requirements, and single-line diagrams.
  • Ensure smooth technical handovers of approved designs to execution teams and provide ongoing support to resolve any technical dependencies.
  • Collaborate with Growth, Customer Success, and Procurement departments to investigate technical complaints and improve engineering standards.

Qualifications
  • BSc or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in solar design, technical operations, or energy systems.
  • Solid understanding of hybrid solar PV systems, inverter technologies, battery energy storage systems, and electrical protection standards.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment datasheets.
  • Familiarity with solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, HOMER) and project management tools (e.g., Zoho, Monday.com, Slack).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
