About the Role
TAG Energy Nigeria Limited is an integrated service company offering a comprehensive range of oilfield products and support services in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Valve Technician specializing in Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) to ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of oilfield equipment across our client facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform the repair, maintenance, and rigorous testing of various industrial valves, including Control Valves, PSVs, PCVs, Ball Valves, Gate Valves, Butterfly Valves, Safety Relief Valves, and Solenoid Valves.
- Execute precise disassembly, thorough cleaning, detailed inspection, precise measuring, reassembly, and functional testing of valves directly at client facilities and designated operational locations.
- Strictly adhere to all engineering schematics, technical blueprints, and documented procedures in full compliance with applicable Quality Control standards.
- Accurately complete and maintain all calibration records and technical documentation associated with every valve testing and repair job.
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with management, internal team members, and external customers to guarantee successful project delivery.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial-related experience within the oil and gas or manufacturing sector.
- Extensive practical experience repairing diverse valves and actuators, including hydraulic and electric systems.
- Valid Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Certification.
- Sound working knowledge of industry codes and standards including ASME II, ASME VIII, ASME IX, ASME V, and API 5L.
- Professional proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of corrosion control principles and practices.
- Professional knowledge and certification in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE).
