About the Role
International Facilities Services Limited (IFS) is a leading global facilities management company delivering innovative, tech-driven solutions across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and the Middle East. Through our partnership with FSI UK and the use of award-winning automation platforms, we are expanding our robotics capabilities. We are currently seeking a dynamic and hands-omin Junior Robotics Engineer to support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of advanced autonomous equipment within our modern facilities management operations.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy, configure, commission, and maintain autonomous cleaning robots and other specialized robotic equipment.
- Support robot mapping, navigation, route configuration, and fleet management systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, sensor, battery, and software-related faults efficiently.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and basic condition monitoring to ensure optimal uptime.
- Support robotic equipment installations, site surveys, and new technology integration.
- Train on-site operational teams on the safe and effective handling of robotic machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance, track utilization rates, and analyze operational data to drive productivity improvements.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance logs, and asset records.
- Collaborate closely with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers, and senior engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience or strong academic project background in robotics, automation, or electro-mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding of robot operating systems, navigation mapping, and sensor integration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for training site teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to various client sites across Nigeria as required.
