About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is seeking a dedicated and qualified medical professional to join our prestigious institution as a Junior Resident in Orthodontics & Child Dental Health. This comprehensive residency training program is designed to equip medical professionals with advanced clinical skills and prepare them for prestigious professional fellowships in Nigeria and West Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized dental and orthodontic care to pediatric and adult patients under the supervision of senior consultants.
- Participate actively in departmental academic seminars, clinical case presentations, and ward rounds.
- Conduct clinical research and contribute to advancements in child dental health and orthodontics.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to institutional healthcare standards.
- Fulfill all clinical and academic requirements stipulated by the training colleges and the hospital management.
- Possess an MBBS or MBChB Degree or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Hold full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) alongside a current practicing license.
- Provide evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- A pass in the relevant primary examination of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African Postgraduate Medical College is advantageous though not compulsory.
