We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Resident Doctor to join our Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In this role, you will work alongside renowned medical professionals in a vibrant academic and clinical environment, contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services while advancing your professional medical career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care and management to patients within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department under the supervision of senior consultants.
  • Participate actively in ward rounds, antenatal clinics, labor ward duties, and emergency obstetric and gynecological procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Engage in continuous medical education, departmental meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, and clinical research initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, midwives, and laboratory personnel, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Chief Medical Director.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an MBBS degree or its equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Must possess a valid National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption certificate.
  • Current registration and a valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Prior clinical experience within a reputable tertiary healthcare institution and post-NYSC experience will be distinct advantages.
  • Demonstrated ICT compliance and proficiency in utilizing digital health records and hospital management systems.
  • Exemplary professional integrity, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure medical environments.
