We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Junior Resident Doctor in Family Medicine to join our dynamic team in Enugu, Nigeria. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered primary care, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to diagnose, treat, and manage diverse medical conditions across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic, evidence-based primary and preventative medical care to outpatients and inpatients in the Family Medicine department.
  • Conduct thorough clinical examinations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and develop comprehensive management and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate actively in departmental ward rounds, academic presentations, clinical audits, and medical research initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards and ICT protocols.
  • Participate in emergency call duties and provide compassionate support to patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an MBBS degree or its equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Mandatory possession of a valid NYSC discharge certificate or an official exemption letter.
  • Current full registration and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Previous clinical experience in a recognized tertiary healthcare institution will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ICT compliance and proficiency in utilizing digital health records and hospital management systems.
  • Exemplary professional integrity, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.
