About the Role
We are seeking a driven and analytical Junior Finance Analyst to join a prestigious global consulting group located in Lagos. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our advisory and investment teams to support high-impact strategic projects, business valuations, and corporate finance initiatives across various sectors in the Nigerian market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain robust financial models for complex business projects and investment opportunities.
- Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis, assessing revenue streams, profitability, cash flows, and balance sheets.
- Support business valuation initiatives utilizing industry-standard methodologies and realistic economic assumptions.
- Perform detailed investment and transaction analysis to facilitate strategic corporate finance decisions.
- Prepare meticulous financial forecasts, operational budgets, scenario analyses, and sensitivity testing.
- Assist in drafting compelling business cases, feasibility studies, investment memoranda, and executive financial reports.
- Analyse macroeconomic and industry-specific data to identify emerging commercial opportunities and associated risks.
- Support cross-functional teams with thorough due diligence and transaction-related research.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Mandatory possession of the ACA (ICAN) professional accounting qualification.
- FMVA (CFI) or Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) certification is strictly required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
