About the Role
The Elevation Church is seeking a dedicated and analytical Finance Intern to join our dynamic finance team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in corporate accounting, enterprise resource planning, and financial reporting while contributing to our impactful community development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily financial postings into the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Conduct accurate bank reconciliations and match transactions with system postings.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate failed transactions for prompt re-upload and resolution.
- Generate comprehensive general ledger, trial balance, and bank reconciliation reports.
- Maintain proper document filing systems and handle routine office machine operations.
- Liaise closely with the Finance Associate and Finance Officer to ensure seamless accounting operations.
- Provide general administrative and accounting support as assigned by management.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of accounting procedures, practices, and IFRS principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and self-management abilities.
- High level of integrity, professional work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
