About the Role
Spazio Ideale is a premier full-service interior design firm specializing in comprehensive interior design, consultancy, and turnkey installations for corporate and housing sectors across Nigeria. We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Junior Design Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will work directly with the Head of Design, producing quality project deliverables including concept development, FF&E selections, construction documents, and client presentations. You will be involved in all phases of the design process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare for client presentations by creating mood boards, floorplans, scaled sketches, drawings, and room elevations.
- Research new products, materials, finishes, lighting solutions, and bespoke furniture designs.
- Produce furniture shop drawings, material selections, and schedules needed for construction documentation with supervision.
- Develop comprehensive FF&E specifications and participate in the selection of furniture systems.
- Follow through on quality issues, fabrication problems, and potential roadblocks until fully resolved without compromising design intent.
- Maintain organized project files and track changes according to Spazio Ideale processes and procedures.
- Participate in team research initiatives, thought leadership, and business development discussions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a Junior Interior Design role within the industry.
- Proficiency in design and architecture software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong hand-sketching abilities for on-site problem-solving and ideation.
- Familiarity with quotes, proposals, budgets, purchase orders, and the procurement process.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative team player mindset.
