About the Role
Teestone Hotel & Apartments is a modern boutique hotel located in the peaceful neighborhood of Ikeja, Lagos, offering a stylish and welcoming environment for business and leisure travelers. We are currently looking for a dedicated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance and Accounts Department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling hotel revenues from our rooms, restaurant, and bar, and ensuring seamless day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain daily financial transactions, cashbooks, journals, and ledgers.
- Reconcile daily hotel revenue from rooms, restaurant, bar, and events.
- Verify daily sales reports, cash collections, POS transactions, and payment records.
- Process and record supplier invoices, payment requests, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with payroll preparation, departmental expense monitoring, and stock reconciliation.
- Support internal and external audits by organizing financial documents and records.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting software.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
