We are currently looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. Key Responsibilities- Record daily financial transactions accurately and maintain comprehensive accounting records in line with company policies.
- Perform timely bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and customer receipts while maintaining proper documentation and audit trails.
- Assist in accurate payroll preparation and ensure the correct calculation and remittance of statutory deductions.
- Prepare routine monthly financial reports, schedules, and statements for management review and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team to provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of proven professional accounting experience, ideally gained within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and popular accounting software or ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally.
- Sound understanding of Nigerian financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and statutory remittance procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strict attention to detail.
