About the Role
SPIE Oil & Gas Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subsea Wells Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical offshore leadership role, you will guarantee personnel and equipment availability, minimize non-productive time (NPT), and drive uncompromising HSE standards across all subsea and workover operations. You will provide technical oversight, manage key service contractors, and support the delivery of 8 to 10 deepwater wells annually while fostering a LEAN and continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies, statutory requirements, and ethical standards, acting as an on-site emergency response team member.
- Supervise offshore subsea supervisors and coordinate up to 15 service contractor personnel per operation to ensure safe, efficient well delivery.
- Serve as the primary focal point for offshore operations, providing technical and logistical support to onshore subsea and completion teams.
- Monitor Subsea Production Systems (SPS) contractor performance, manage KPIs, and facilitate Root Cause Analysis and Risk Assessments.
- Oversee spares management, budget tracking, procurement processes, and the timely issuance of well handover and end-of-well reports.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of robust experience in Subsea Production Systems, including QA/QC, manufacturing, testing, and deepwater project management.
- Demonstrated operational expertise in the subsea wells and drilling/completions discipline with strong contract management capabilities.
- Valid IWCF certification and proven commitment to loss of well control prevention.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
